We are very versatile, performing all aspects of underground work in many different settings. We feel that success is in the details and that planning and communication are key factors.
G&S Contractors, Inc. performs all types of underground infrastructure. Our projects consist of residential subdivisions, commercial developments, public municipal projects, as well as industrial work.
Our company has been built on relationships and repeat customers. We work with owners, developers, engineers and project managers from the early budget stages through to the finish line.
RECENT WORK
Appalachian State University Large Storm Drain Replacement
This project consisted of replacing existing CMP with 48" RCP. The project was through the parking lot of an Appalachian State dorm as well as adjoining properties. The pipe averaged 12' deep. We handled all of the pump around work as well as the day to day traffic control.
24" HDPE Cooling Water Supply Lines & Cooling Tower Foundations
This project consisted of installing approximately 2400' of 24" HDPE cooling water supply lines to serve a local plant. We were involved in the design phase of this project and worked on it until the new cooling tower was up and running. We fused all of the pipe, excavated the trench, installed the pipe, backfilled and dressed up the area. We also formed and poured all of the pipe rack foundations as well as the cooling tower foundations.
Winston Ridge Subdivision
We have completed numerous phases of the Winston Ridge Subdivision in Youngsville, NC. We have performed the water, sewer and storm drainage for hundreds of new lots in this subdivision. We also have constructed a water booster pump station as well as a sewer lift station as part of this subdivision.
